The team works across modern cloud environments and collaborates with internal engineering squads as well as selected client accounts to build and maintain scalable technology solutions. About the Role Happy Horizon is looking for a DevOps Engineer to strengthen its platform engineering and DevOps practices across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments. In this role, you will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code, and support development teams throughout deployments and incident response. You will also contribute to security, secret management, cloud cost monitoring, and operational documentation. The position is remote-friendly within the Netherlands, with optional visits to the Gennep office for planning sessions, knowledge sharing, and team collaboration. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and repeatable software releases. Manage and improve cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code practices. Support developers during application deployments and release processes. Participate in incident response and help troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues. Establish and maintain appropriate security baselines across cloud environments. Manage secrets and access-related configurations securely. Monitor and improve cloud infrastructure costs. Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks. Improve deployment processes to increase reliability and reduce operational complexity. Collaborate with backend developers, data engineers, and other technical teams. Work with external client IT teams when infrastructure dependencies require coordination. Assist with network and access-related requirements, including VPN, DNS, and access policies. Contribute to platform practices that make on-call rotations more manageable and sustainable.
