Description

Description The Agreements team within AWS Billing is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team in Berlin. Are you interested in building the next generation, cloud-based commerce system for AWS that’s used by millions of customers worldwide? Are you excited by the idea of building real-time stream processing systems that operate at millions of records scale? Do you want to make an impact at a several-billion-a-year business? Then we need to talk! Computing AWS bills, at its core, is a challenging, distributed systems problem that requires calculations performed over trillions of usage records, millions of accounts, and hundreds of thousands of different rates. Furthermore, our applications must meet strict requirements for accuracy and once-and-only-once processing. As a Software Development Engineer, you will own problems end-to-end — whether that's the agentic automation powering zero-touch launches, the core data stores for agreements, or the systems that publish agreement and pricing information to AWS downstream clients. You will build on AWS technologies like DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions, and CDK, and collaborate directly with AWS service teams to deliver platforms that let them bring new products to market in minutes, not weeks. The Agreements team within AWS Billing is a part of AWS Utility Computing (UC) team which provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. Key job responsibilities Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative products and services. Design, build and operate innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry. Build distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use. Work in an agile environment to deliver high quality software.
