You have it working on a bench by Friday.
An established IoT technology company, whose hardware sits inside connected devices used worldwide, is opening a new seat on its hardware team.
The problem is a good one to have: business development keeps bringing in ideas customers want proven fast, and the two hardware engineers already in place are buried in product work with no room to chase them.
This role exists to close that gap.
You take a concept and build it.
Soldering iron in hand, straight into circuit design, PCB layout, power electronics, battery and charging circuits, then onto the bench with network analysers and RF test gear to prove it actually works.
You will also carry standard product development alongside the other two hardware engineers, simulating and testing RF and antenna designs.
But your real value sits in being the free hands who can drop everything and turn a business development idea into a working prototype, fast, before the opportunity cools.
You have real hands-on time in a lab, three years plus, more the better, and genuine experience somewhere in power electronics, batteries, charging circuits, soldering or PCB design.
Antenna and RF simulation experience is a strong plus, not a requirement, and if PCB layout or soldering are new to you, the company will train you into them properly.
What matters more is how you work.
You are grounded, curious, a little playful, happier building ten things and breaking eight of them than sitting through a design review.
You are not chasing a management title.
This is a subject matter expert seat, and a good one to hold for years.
You will sit inside the RF team alongside two experienced hardware engineers, work closely with the software and lab teams, and have a direct line to sales and business development.
German is a genuine plus but not required, one recent hire started with none at all and has been picking it up as he goes.
Based in South Munich, at least three days a week on site.
€85,000 to €100,000, 28 days holiday rising to 31, plus full training to close any gaps in your background.
