Senior Software Engineer
Location: Remote, US (East Coast or Central time preferred)
Salary: $175K–$200K base
I'm working with a Series B company building a governance and security platform for enterprise cloud infrastructure, well backed and already trusted by major enterprise customers.
They help organizations automate cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization at scale, and are now actively expanding into AI on top of that core platform.

Backend is one of the most strategic functions in the business right now, small, senior, flat team, real ownership, direct line from what you build to what thousands of customers run on.
Responsibilities:
Own the core API layer the platform and customers run on, and the event driven pipelines that execute policy across thousands of cloud accountsDesign and evolve the data stores behind the platform, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and AlembicBuild systems that reason about failure, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency at real production scalePropose and compare architectural approaches, and bring the team along on the decision
The ideal profile would have:
5+ years of production backend experience in Python3+ years leading initiatives and mentoring other engineersHands-on experience with AWS and serverless building blocks (Lambda, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, ECS)Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD (Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions)A real testing habit, pytest, moto, and containerized functional testingComputer Science background or equivalent preferred
