Senior Full-Stack Java Developer

Full Stack / Senior Java Developer Location: Krakow, Poland Working Model: Hybrid – 6 days onsite per month Role: Full Stack / Senior Java Developer Industry: Banking / Financial Services preferred Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Full Stack / Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team in Krakow. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications using modern Java technologies and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Microservices, REST, and SQL, along with a solid understanding of modern software development and testing practices. Experience within the banking or financial services industry would be highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.Develop and maintain microservices-based applications following modern architectural principles.Design and implement RESTful APIs and gRPC services.Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries, with Oracle experience preferred.Develop and maintain containerized applications and support deployments using Kubernetes.Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following established coding standards and best practices.Develop automated tests and support BDD/testing frameworks, including Cucumber.Build and manage projects using Maven.Troubleshoot application, integration, and production issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements in development practices, performance, and reliability.Work within an Agile development environment and contribute to sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Required Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience in Java development.Excellent hands-on experience with Spring Boot.Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.Experience with gRPC.Strong SQL skills; Oracle database experience is preferred.Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments.Experience with Cucumber and automated testing.Strong experience with Maven.Good understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and engineering best practices.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Desirable Experience Previous experience within Banking or Financial Services.Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications.Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.Experience working in distributed, Agile engineering teams.
