Description

At Verda, we're building a full-stack AI cloud, covering everything from data centers and hardware to our own cloud platform that the world's leading AI teams use to do serious AI work. We strive to make a positive mark on the world through the infrastructure we build and give leading teams a service they can truly depend on. Headquartered in Helsinki, we operate globally with offices in London and San Francisco. Join Verda while it’s still being built - not once it’s finished. About The Role We're looking for a Developer Experience Engineer to make it easier and faster for our developers to build, test, deploy, and operate software on Kubernetes. Work through conflicting needs with developers, Platform, and Security to agree which problems to tackle and why.Research and build AI tools and agentic workflows.Improve the software development lifecycle: local development → CI/CD → Kubernetes → production.Contribute to better development journey, including onboarding, environments, access, and common development workflows.Own improvements from discovery and prototyping through rollout, documentation, and ongoing support. Check whether they help developers and refine them based on feedback.Design and standardize DevOps workflows and delivery patterns that scale across hundreds of developers and services, supporting different teams and workloads.Build and improve CI/CD across GitLab, GitHub, runners, and different application stacks.Build internal tooling, CLIs, APIs, integrations, and platform abstractions.Build reusable golden paths, templates, pipelines, and self-service tooling that address needs shared across teams. Your key competencies Experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Developer Experience.Hands-on experience deploying applications on Kubernetes clusters.Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, Git, containers, and Linux.Experience designing reusable CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tooling.Ability to build and maintain software in Go, TypeScript, or Python.Clear communication and sound judgment when information is incomplete or teams disagree. You can connect details across systems, explain trade-offs, and help people reach a decision.Judgment about when to adopt proven tools, extend existing systems, or build something new, taking ongoing maintenance into account.Experience building AI/LLM tools or agentic workflows, including connecting them to tools and APIs and evaluating their reliability. Prototypes and personal projects count.
