Job Description We're looking for a back-end software developer to join our growing technology team. We’d love to hear from developers with the desire and ability to work across a broad range of disciplines within product delivery, with a primary focus on backend-end software development. Responsibilities Working collaboratively alongside other developers and analysts using agile software development methodologies you’ll get involved with: Building back-end Java applications for an industry leading wrap platform AWS: Serverless, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, CDKData integration with 3rd party providersContinuous IntegrationAssessing the impact and benefits of introducing new technologies, APIs and methodologiesTake responsibility in everything you do to deliver good outcomes for our customersPositively demonstrate the Nucleus values and behaviours Ensure compliance with Code of Conduct at all times Skill Requirements We've always placed more importance on cultural alignment above technical ability but in this role we'd ideally like you to have either experience with or an interest in: A solid foundation of Java knowledge or another object oriented programming languageBuilding backend applications as part of a cross-functional teamAppreciate clean code, good software design and best practises in software engineeringAWS or similar cloud based services Relational databases and SQLDockerGraphQLVersion Control (such as Git)Unit testingAgile methodologies About you Your friends would probably describe you as the ‘curious’ one. You’ll be happiest when tinkering with new technologies and finding better ways to deliver phenomenal code. You will enjoy working as part of a multi-functional team, while taking ownership of the work you do to deliver the best solutions.
