Your Role at impact.com: As a DevOps/Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for working hands-on to design, develop and implement processes that automate the build, staging, release & deployment of the software platform. You will also be responsible for infrastructure provisioning through build pipelines. As an enabler of engineering, you will have a direct impact on the productivity of the systems development life cycle. What You’ll Do: The main purpose of the DevOps/Cloud Engineer is to homogenize development and operations, and to create a collaborative and complementary development culture. The methods through which this is most pronounced is automation; including, but not limited to: Continuous integration & deploymentContinuous code quality monitoringContinuous security scanning & license compliance monitoringConfiguration managementInfrastructure as CodeIncrease efficiency and optimal use of organizational resourcesIncrease cross-team collaboration and employee satisfactionSupport engineers in debugging & resolving issues surrounding build and staging & production deployments What You’ll Bring: Previous experience as a Cloud / DevOps / Platform Engineer in a Google Cloud (GCP) environmentAutomation and Configuration ManagementCI/CD tools, preferably experience in Jenkins administration and writing pipelinesExperience with Terraform to programmatically provision the required resources Experience using building toolsProgramming and/or scripting language competency, with at least one of; Shell, Java, GroovyGradle with Groovy configuration & plugin authoring, or equivalent Maven experienceSelf starter / Adaptability / Drive / Social Skills / Personal Development / Initiative Nice to Have: Affiliate & Partnerships Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 CAD per year, plus an additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance with eligibility to receive Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant. *This is the pay range the Company believes is equitable for this position at the time of this posting.
