Software Engineer - Java/Kotlin

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Develop and implement tailored software solutions for clients using a solution-oriented mindset and interest in object-oriented design. • Analyze requirements, design, and develop using modern technologies like Kotlin, Java, and Spring within an enterprise environment. • Ensure high quality, stability, and maintainability of applications through automated tests, clean code, and regular code reviews. • Actively contribute methodological and technological experience within agile teams (e.g., Scrum/Kanban), collaborating closely with colleagues and driving best practices. • Tackle technical challenges with persistence, ownership, and analytical thinking to find pragmatic, future-proof solutions. What You'll Need • Several years of relevant professional experience as a Java/Kotlin software developer in an enterprise or product environment, ideally with distributed systems or microservices. • A completed university degree (Bachelor/Master) in Computer Science or a comparable field with a strong software engineering focus and excellent academic performance. • In-depth practical experience with frameworks and tools such as Spring, Ktor, Docker, Gradle, JUnit, GitLab, SonarQube, and Cucumber. • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, with strong technical communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills. • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, well-structured team, take ownership, approach tasks systematically, proactively learn new technologies, and share knowledge openly.
