Golang Platform Engineer - Kubernetes

Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office Your Profile & DNA: We are looking for an experienced Golang Platform Engineer to join the Container Technology & Operations team within Platform Engineering. You’ll work on strategic Kubernetes-based platform services that enable application teams to build, deploy, and run secure, scalable, and resilient applications in a large-scale banking environment. This is a hands-on role combining Golang development, Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, automation, infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform engineering. Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and operate Kubernetes-based platform services.Develop production-grade applications and services using Go/Golang.Build automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes and container environments.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, and observability.Troubleshoot Linux, networking, Kubernetes, and cloud-native issues.Improve developer experience through self-service and reusable platform capabilities.Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Architecture, Risk, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.Ensure platform solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.Drive continuous improvement, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Qualification & Experience A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.Strong hands-on Golang / Go experienceStrong production experience with KubernetesSolid container technology knowledgeStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting skillsGood understanding of networking conceptsExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Hands-on CI/CD experienceExperience with cloud-native architecturesExperience with automation and DevOps practicesKnowledge of monitoring, logging, and observabilityStrong troubleshooting and production operations experienceExcellent English communication and stakeholder management skillsGood-to-Have Skills Kubernetes certifications: CKA, CKAD, or CKSOpenShift or other enterprise container platformsService mesh: Istio / LinkerdGitOps: Argo CD / FluxPublic cloud: Azure / AWS / GCPTerraform / AnsibleHelmPrometheus / Grafana / OpenTelemetryKubernetes Operators / ControllersExperience in banking or other highly regulated environments What do we offer?
