Job Title - Java backend Developer Location - Montreal , QC Job Description - We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, messaging systems, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, database performance, and system scalability. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices for enterprise-scale applications.Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code.Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize queries, indexes, and data access.Develop and integrate event-driven and asynchronous systems u Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Generics, Multithreading, and Concurrency.Experience building REST APIs and microservices.Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Big-O complexity.Strong SQL and relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL.Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.Experience with database indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, caching, and performance optimization.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
