I’m looking for an experienced Senior SQL Developer to take ownership of a critical SQL Server environment and play a key role in the design, development, and optimisation of database solutions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong SQL professional to help shape technical direction, improve database performance, support business-critical systems, and provide guidance to other developers.
You’ll be joining a collaborative technology team and playing an important role in strengthening SQL capability across the wider business.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and optimisation of SQL Server database solutionsDevelop and optimise complex T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggersInvestigate and resolve database performance issues, including query optimisation, blocking, and deadlocksSupport database security, backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutionsCollaborate with developers, analysts, and key stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutionsProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers
Essentials
5+ years’ experience working with Microsoft SQL Server developmentStrong T-SQL skills with experience across SQL Server 2019+Experience designing relational databases and data modelsExperience working with high-volume transactional databasesKnowledge of ETL processes, ideally using SSIS or similarStrong understanding of SQL performance tuning and execution plansExperience with SQL Server Agent, backups, disaster recovery, and database securityExposure to Azure SQL Database or Azure SQL Managed Instance is desirable
