Description

Adecco is recruiting a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for a financial services organisation modernising a business-critical investment accounting platform. The position focuses primarily on Java backend and platform engineering. You will build scalable services supporting high-volume accounting workflows, real-time and batch data processing, and integration with enterprise data platforms. You will also contribute to architecture decisions, mentor engineers and take ownership of services in production. Responsibilities Design, build, test and operate scalable Java and API-driven services.Develop multi-tenant capabilities for real-time and batch data ingestion.Modernise legacy functions into cloud-ready, API-first services.Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and enterprise data platforms.Improve reliability, observability, auditability and operational controls.Lead design discussions and support architecture decisions.Conduct code reviews and mentor other engineers.Take ownership from implementation through deployment and production support.Collaborate with product, operations, architecture and distributed engineering teams. Required experience 7+ years building large-scale distributed software systems.Strong hands-on Java and backend API development.Experience with production-grade service design, testing, deployment and support.SQL and/or NoSQL database experience.Cloud or hybrid-platform experience.CI/CD, DevOps practices and automated testing.Strong technical communication and mentoring skills.Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience. Preferred experience Microsoft Azure and on-premises platforms.Financial services, investment accounting or transaction-processing systems.Oracle, Snowflake, Python, TypeScript, Angular, Kafka or Spark.Legacy platform modernisation.AI-assisted software development tools.
