About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Software Development Manager, within the Technical Unit, the Application Developer will be developing and maintaining first-class solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions around the world.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively to develop and maintain top-tier software solutions.Contribute your expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, including design, development, maintenance, and quality assurance.Partner closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and other internal teams to understand and implement client requirements.Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in web applications and programming languages.Take ownership of your assigned tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.Work both independently and as a valuable member of diverse, cross-functional teams.Demonstrate agility and adapt effectively to evolving project priorities.Collaborate effectively with various teams within the RS2 organization.Contribute to a positive and inclusive multicultural work environment.Be open to taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
A degree in ICT or a related professional qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of Git, Maven, Jenkins, XML, JSON, and JQuery.Experience with microservices architecture and implementation.Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, RESTful web services, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS, and Vue.js (or similar JavaScript frameworks).A good understanding of User Experience (UX) analysis and design principles.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve browser-specific issues.Strong knowledge of database management systems, with preference for Oracle.A commitment to high standards of software programming and thorough unit testing.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
