About the Role
Infomaniak is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join its Hosting team in Geneva.
The team is modernizing web hosting solutions and building a new generation of scalable services with a strong focus on quality, reliability, security, and user experience.
You will work on backend architecture, APIs, infrastructure automation, and the modernization of hosting platforms, collaborating with other engineers to build reliable and maintainable services.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the modernization of web hosting solutions toward a modern, orchestrated architecture using Kubernetes.Design abstraction layers and APIs that simplify and hide underlying infrastructure complexity.Design robust, performant, and well-documented APIs and services.Improve product stability and maintainability through automated testing and active participation in code reviews.Apply security best practices to protect the integrity and confidentiality of user data.Implement security measures such as encryption and API hardening.Work with infrastructure as programmable systems and contribute to infrastructure automation.Collaborate with the engineering team in a positive and constructive environment.Required Qualifications
Solid experience with modern PHP, particularly PHP 8+.Strong understanding of complex software architecture patterns.Experience with Laravel is preferred.Ability to design robust, performant, and documented APIs.Strong understanding of backend software development and API architecture.Affinity for infrastructure and treating infrastructure as programmable systems.Strong teamwork and positive communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
