Senior Backend Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities: · Design and implement scalable backend systems and services. Ensure system architecture is robust, maintainable, and able to handle high loads. · Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code using Go, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript. Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards. · Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices. Ensure APIs are well-documented and adhere to best practices. · Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability. · Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups. · Provide guidance and support to junior engineers. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team. · Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and bugs. Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system health. · Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for backend systems, APIs, and technical processes. · Work with databases to design schemas and optimize performance. · Report to Head of IT on the product development progress. · Distribute tasks to the team members according to their expertise. · Train-in-house personnel and other end users on software and applications. Qualifications: · Minimum 5 years’ experience in the server-side technologies such as Golang, Node.js, Java or Python (Prefer Golang) · Experience in Database (Postgres, DB2, MYSQL,Oracle, REDIS, MongoDB) · Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth · Experience with version control systems · Experience with Cloud technology (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud or MS Azure) · Experience in SDLC and CI/CD · Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins · Experience is DevSecOps such as source code scanning tool (e.g. Sonaqube) is a plus. · Good command in English Successful candidate may be subject to a criminal background check.
