The Opportunity
Join a team building the data foundations that support the firm's AI and analytics capabilities.
This role sits within the engineering effort to develop a modern Lakehouse and AI data platform that enables reliable, well-governed and high-performing data use across the firm.
This is a hybrid engineering and design role for someone who wants to shape how users interact with complex data infrastructure – and then help build it.
You will be comfortable working both in Figma and writing code.
Role Summary
Working across both design and software engineering, you will:
Design, build and maintain the user-facing tooling of the Lakehouse platform, owning the design process end to end.Work closely with users to understand their workflows and shape solutions that fit how they work.Partner with stakeholders on design decisions and build on their feedback.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.2–5 years of relevant work experience.Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and React, and a good understanding of web standards and best practices.Proficiency with Figma, including prototyping and working with design systems.Strong grounding in design thinking and human-centered design.Excellent communication skills, whether presenting design work, facilitating meetings, or working with subject matter experts to draw out critical business concepts.
Independent thinker, willing to engage, challenge and learn, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Object-oriented design and programming skills in Java or a comparable language.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g.
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.Knowledge of data warehousing and lakehouse solutions (e.g.
Snowflake, BigQuery, Apache Iceberg).
