Location: Hong Kong Experience: Graduate / 1–2 years Employment: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive The Opportunity We are working with a leading global technology organisation to recruit a Junior Platform Engineer for its Hong Kong team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who has a genuine interest in Linux, Kubernetes and cloud/platform technologies and wants to develop their career in a highly technical environment. You do not need extensive commercial experience. We are interested in candidates who have gained hands-on Kubernetes and Linux exposure through employment, university, internships, certifications or personal/home projects. You will join an Agile engineering team supporting critical technology infrastructure, working directly with customers to resolve incidents and service requests while gaining hands-on exposure to technologies including Kubernetes and OpenShift. Key Responsibilities Support and troubleshoot incidents, customer escalations and service requests.Work with Kubernetes and OpenShift, including cluster updates and patching.Monitor cloud and platform infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement.Support change-management activities.Contribute to automation and engineering projects.Improve technical documentation, processes and reporting.Develop your knowledge of modern platform, cloud and infrastructure technologies.Work within a fast-paced, highly technical engineering environment. What We're Looking For Graduate level or approximately 1–2 years' relevant experience.Hands-on exposure to Linux.Some practical knowledge of Kubernetes through work, study, internships or personal projects.Fluent English with strong communication skills.Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related technical discipline would be beneficial.Strong interest in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure and automation.Willingness to learn and develop technically.Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment. Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CKS or RHCSA would be advantageous but are not essential. Why Consider It?
