DevOps Engineer (Remote)

The company is focused on reliable digital infrastructure, efficient processes, secure data exchange, and sustainable improvements to healthcare in Switzerland. ## About the Role MediData is looking for a Platform Engineer to help develop, automate, and operate its Private Cloud platform. You will work closely with Product Teams and the Architecture Guild to build self-service capabilities, improve DevOps processes, and make strategic platform decisions. The role focuses on automation, platform stability, security, monitoring, and continuous technology development using modern cloud-native and DevOps technologies. ## Key Responsibilities * Develop, automate, and operate MediData's Private Cloud platform. * Work with OpenShift, ArgoCD, CI/CD, S3 storage, ActiveMQ, OracleDB, and PostgreSQL. * Develop self-service solutions that enable Product Teams to independently manage deployments and environments. * Support Product Teams with security, compliance, and monitoring requirements. * Contribute to compliance with standards such as ISO 27001. * Collaborate with Product Teams and the Architecture Guild on DevOps processes and strategic platform decisions. * Evaluate new technologies and continuously improve the platform. * Drive automation, stability, and security across the platform environment. ## Required Qualifications * Higher education or professional qualification in computer science, such as FH, ETH, university level, or an equivalent qualification. * Experience operating cloud infrastructures in DevOps and IT operations environments. * Strong knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. * Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or ArgoCD. * Knowledge of GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, such as Ansible. * Familiarity with secrets management. * Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack. * Strong security awareness and willingness to take responsibility. * Excellent German communication skills. * Good technical English, both written and spoken. ## Preferred Qualifications * Relevant cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure certifications. * Experience developing self-service platforms for product engineering teams. * Experience working with security and compliance requirements in regulated environments. * Experience with private cloud and cloud-native infrastructure. ## Technical Environment * OpenShift * Kubernetes * Docker * Helm * ArgoCD * GitLab * Jenkins * GitOps * Infrastructure as Code * Ansible * S3 Storage * ActiveMQ * OracleDB * PostgreSQL * Prometheus * Grafana * ELK Stack ## What MediData Offers * An innovative environment focused on advancing the digitalization of Swiss healthcare. * Flexible working hours and opportunities for remote work. * A modern technology environment and collaboration with a highly qualified team. * Training, workshops, and conference opportunities to support professional development.
