What You'll Do
Deploy, manage, and promote applications across environments using GitOps tools (Helm, Argo CD, Harbor).Maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, runners, build tooling (Buildah, Kaniko), and repository configurations.Oversee environment configurations, health checks, data backups, and rollback procedures.Provision, upgrade, and test Kubernetes clusters, vclusters, and core platform services (secrets, load balancing, certificates).Manage environment capacity, build isolation, network separation, and security compliance alongside security/platform teams.Plan and execute staged upgrades or replacements for legacy infrastructure with clear recovery plans.Monitor application and cluster health using Prometheus, Grafana, logs, and traces.Collaborate with Golang/JavaScript developers to troubleshoot deployment issues, optimize Helm charts, and build effective alerts and dashboards.Guide developers on cloud-native application design, high availability (HA), and CI/CD best practices.Maintain up-to-date process and architecture documentation.
Key Criteria
At least 3 years + of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar roles.Practical experience operating Kubernetes, GitOps and Argo CD deployments, Helm, container registries and GitLab runners.Strong Linux, networking, secrets management and troubleshooting skills.Experience using Prometheus and Grafana to diagnose platform and application performance problems.Confidence maintaining CICD tooling such as Buildah or Kaniko tooling and advising developers on deployable images and charts.Clear communication, a helpful and constructive approach, and the ability to work independently in a remote team.Familiarity with the following applications and technologies will be useful: GitLab CI/CD, Harbor, Helm, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Loft/vCluster; Vault, cert-manager, external-dns; CloudNativePG/PostgreSQL, Dragonfly, Temporal, NATS, Flipt; Prometheus, Grafana, Alloy, OpenTelemetry.
Work setup:
Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian hours (6:00am–3:00pm PHT) HYBRID with a flexible work arrangement.
