Python Developer - Media Lab (YouTube Lab) Responsibilities Implement/maintain the global lab cloud-based automation framework, backend services, and RESTful APIs.Implement the multiprocessing service or distributed system and tune the platform performance.Build high-performance ETL data pipelines to ingest and analyze massive testing results from global labs.Work closely with device partners to set up and integrate the golden devices with the automation system.Analyze video streaming products and triage system performance bottlenecks.Write well-designed, testable, and scalable systems, microservices, or utilities.Work with the global cross-functional product team to develop relevant platform services. Requirements and skills 3+ years of proven work experience as a Software Engineer, Backend Developer, or Test Infrastructure Engineer.Experience designing/implementing cloud services, RESTful APIs, and data/testing pipelines.Ability to develop high-quality software in Python (required), JavaScript, or other programming languages.Experienced in Unix/Linux systems, Distributed Systems, and Parallel Computing (multiprocessing/threading).Excellent knowledge of relational databases, NoSQL, and in-memory datastores (e.g. Redis).Experience in Cloud deployment, development, or SRE (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure).Experience with test-driven development (TDD).Ability to document technical requirements and specifications.Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically. Preferred skills and experience Experience with real-time or messaging protocols, such as WebSocket and MQTT.Experience with AI coding tools (e.g. Gemini CLI, Antigravity) and integrating them with MCP or Skills to automate and test workflows.Experience in Raspberry Pi or other Single-board Computer (SBC) development and hardware integration.Understanding of Android application development and tools (ADB, Android Studio).Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
