📍 Bayswater, WA 6053 ⏱ Full-time permanent position 💰 $50–$55 per hour + overtime 🌏 Sponsorship available for the right candidate ABOUT THE ROLE Newland Precision Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Metal Fabricator to join our Bayswater workshop team. Work on specialised drilling and mining equipment, producing high-quality fabricated components from technical drawings with a strong focus on MIG welding, accuracy and quality workmanship. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Fabricate and assemble components from technical drawingsPerform high-quality MIG welding and fabricationAssist with TIG welding of aluminium and stainless steelUndertake hydraulic cylinder welding where experiencedEnsure work meets quality and specification requirementsMaintain safe, efficient workshop practicesWork collaboratively with the workshop and production team TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU'LL IDEALLY HAVE Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication or similar3+ years’ fabrication/welding experienceStrong MIG welding skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and qualityGood communication and team skillsCurrent Driver’s and Forklift LicencesAbility to pass a pre-employment medicalAustralian working rights or eligibility for sponsorship DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE TIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steelHydraulic cylinder welding experienceMining, drilling or heavy engineering experience WHAT WE OFFER $50–$55 per hour + overtimeFull-time, Perth-based positionSponsorship available for the right candidateStable employment with a growing engineering companyVaried work across specialised mining and drilling equipmentSupportive, professional workshop environmentOpportunity to work on locally manufactured productsOn-site parking and access to the train station ABOUT NEWLAND PRECISION ENGINEERING We are a Bayswater-based manufacturer of specialised drilling and mining equipment, supplying high quality engineering solutions across Australia and internationally.
