Role Title: Salesforce Development Lead
Daily Rate: $1,050 – $1,200 (inclusive of super)
Location: Brisbane (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office)
Contract Duration: Immediate start through 30 June 2027
About The Role
A leading Queensland public sector agency is seeking an experienced Salesforce Development Lead to own the technical delivery, build quality, and implementation integrity of a key digital licensing platform.
This is a hands-on technical leadership position with no formal people-management duties.
You will spend a substantial portion of your time actively building while providing technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to a growing delivery team.
Working closely with the Salesforce Solution Architect, you will lead detailed implementation designs, enforce CI/CD and coding standards, and bridge the technical requirements between project delivery and business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Build: Lead end-to-end technical delivery using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, SOQL, and custom data models.Solution Design: Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical designs, data-model changes, and integration specs.Integrations: Design, build, and troubleshoot secure integrations with connected systems (finance, payments, correspondence, external APIs).Quality & CI/CD: Manage source control, pull requests, automated validations, branching strategy, and deployment practices across environments.Team Uplift: Conduct peer code reviews, mentor developers, and set definitions of done and coding standards.Project & BAU Alignment: Ensure operational readiness, maintain living documentation in Confluence/Jira, and coordinate release management with BAU teams.
Mandatory Requirements
5+ years of hands-on Salesforce design and development experience.Experience Cloud Expertise: Proven track record delivering secure, scalable Experience Cloud solutions (authenticated user journeys, sharing models, identity integration).Core Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in Apex, LWC, Flow, SOQL, data modelling, and platform security/governor limits.Technical Design & Integrations: Demonstrated ability to write detailed designs and build API/middleware integrations with external systems.Technical Leadership: Experience leading dev teams technically (setting standards, performing PR reviews, mentoring).Regulated/Government Data: Hands-on experience handling sensitive customer identity, licensing, or regulatory data, incorporating security, audit, and privacy controls.Tooling & AI Understanding: Solid working knowledge of Jira/Confluence for agile delivery, plus a sound understanding of AI capabilities, governance, and limits in a regulated setting.
Desirable Skills
