About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps & Platform Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing, operating, and enhancing our platform and cloud environments. Your expertise will ensure the stability, security, and performance of our infrastructure, supporting the company's growth and innovation strategies. You will play a key role in developing scalable, modern solutions by driving automation, observability, and standardization initiatives. As a senior member of the team, you will collaborate closely with development, security, and architecture teams to design and implement resilient, future-proof platform architectures. Your work will directly impact the reliability of critical business systems, enabling hygi.de to maintain its competitive edge and exceptional service quality. Qualifications Several years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or operations engineering.Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and operation.Hands-on experience with hosting and cloud environments such as Hetzner, AWS, or Azure.Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure as Code practices.Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.Experience managing mission-critical systems with a focus on availability and security.Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style.Enjoyment of teamwork and taking technical responsibility. Nice-to-have skills include experience with container and platform technologies, security and reliability expertise, and initial exposure to data platforms or business intelligence systems. Responsibilities Operate, administer, and continuously improve our hosting and cloud infrastructure, including Linux-based production systems.Ensure the availability, stability, security, performance, and scalability of our platform environment.Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and adopt Infrastructure as Code methodologies.Manage monitoring, logging, alerting, and further develop our observability landscape to ensure proactive system management.Analyze incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement measures for sustainable quality improvements.Participate actively in shaping a modern, scalable platform architecture, including standardization and modernization efforts such as containerization.Contribute to backup and disaster recovery strategies, security and compliance standards, and collaborate closely with development teams on architectural decisions.
