Overview Susquehanna International Group (SIG) has an opening for an experienced Python Developer with data visualisation experience to support our Compliance and Trading Risk technology requirements in the Asia Pacific region. You will work very closely with the Compliance and Trading Risk teams, building and maintaining the tools that give them oversight of trading activity across our APAC markets. This will encompass integrating APIs from third-party monitoring and surveillance platforms such as Eventus, and building compliance dashboards that are critical to SIG meeting its regulatory requirements. In this role you will gain new business knowledge and skills by working closely with Compliance, Trading Risk, traders and the firm’s top technologists in a global, market leading firm. SIG is growing and trades on many markets in APAC. You will be required to understand the individual nuances of these markets to help build appropriate surveillance, monitoring and dashboard tools. This will provide Compliance and Trading Risk with oversight of SIG’s trading activities in APAC across options, equities, futures and more. Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain Python-based applications and dashboards that support Compliance and Trading Risk oversight of trading activity.Integrate APIs from third-party trade surveillance and monitoring platforms, such as Eventus, into internal Compliance and Trading Risk systems.Build interactive, data-rich compliance dashboards that give Compliance real-time visibility into trading activity across APAC markets.Collaborate closely with Compliance and Trading Risk stakeholders to understand, assess and translate regulatory and business requirements into technical solutions.Take a holistic view of systems and understand how data pipelines, APIs, databases and dashboard/visualisation layers integrate with one another.Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code, participate in code reviews and support the tools in a large-scale production environment. What We're Looking For Essential Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Python developer, including experience building data visualisation tools or dashboards in a production environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related technical discipline.Experience within a trading firm, investment bank or other financial institution preferred.Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical Compliance and Trading Risk stakeholders.Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience using data visualisation libraries or frameworks (e.g., pandas, Plotly, Dash, or similar).Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.Commitment to innovation, with a strong interest in learning about trading, compliance and regulatory processes. Good To Have Experience with trade surveillance or market monitoring platforms such as Eventus, Nasdaq SMARTS, or similar.Experience working within or alongside Compliance, Trading Risk or Regulatory Reporting functions.Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React) for building dashboard user interfaces.Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and project tracking systems, such as Jira.Experience supporting internal/external regulatory audits.Knowledge of relational databases (such as Oracle, SQL, MySQL) and the ability to write efficient SQL queries.Knowledge of Business Intelligence/reporting tools (such as Qlik Sense, Tableau or Power BI) and understanding of APAC trading products (options, equities, futures).
