The Opportunity We're looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers to join our growing engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on significant platform initiatives in a collaborative, engineering-led environment where quality, simplicity, automation and continuous improvement matter. Working alongside the Head of Engineering, Product Manager, UX/UI specialists, Data professionals and fellow Senior Engineers, you'll help design, build and evolve modern software solutions while contributing to technical excellence across the team. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical decisions, mentor others and work on complex engineering challenges that will have a genuine impact across the organisation. What You'll Be Working On Engineering & Delivery Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutionsBuild scalable backend services, APIs and integrationsDevelop modern user experiences and business applicationsDeliver reliable, secure and maintainable softwareTake ownership of features from design through deployment Platform & Systems Development Develop distributed and event-driven platform capabilitiesContribute to solution design and architecture discussionsBuild workflow-enabled business solutions and automation capabilitiesSolve complex integration and data challengesSupport platform scalability, resilience and long-term maintainability Modern Engineering Practices Apply contemporary software engineering techniques and practicesUtilise AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and qualityParticipate in code reviews, design reviews and continuous improvement initiativesContribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns and best practicesChampion quality, automation and operational excellence Collaboration & Mentoring Work closely with Product, UX/UI, Data and Technology Operations teamsMentor engineers through coaching, code reviews and knowledge sharingCollaborate with fellow Senior Engineers to solve complex problemsShare expertise and contribute to a high-performing engineering culture Essential What We're Looking For 10+ years of professional software engineering experienceProven experience designing and delivering complex software solutionsStrong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practicesExperience building scalable, secure and reliable applicationsExceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilityAbility to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team Highly Desirable Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecturesExperience with cloud-native platforms and modern development practicesExperience with workflow orchestration and automation platformsExperience with analytics, reporting or data-driven solutionsExperience with AI-assisted software development tools and practicesPrevious experience within PropTech, strata, property, workflow or financial systems environments Why Join Bright & Duggan Group?
