Our platforms support government, enforcement, tolling and commercial mobility customers across Australia, North America and Europe. As we continue to expand and modernise our cloud platforms, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our SaaS Operations Support team in South Melbourne. This is a perm, full time, hybrid and hands-on role with genuine production ownership. You will operate and improve AWS-hosted SaaS platforms, strengthen automation and deployment capability, support Kubernetes environments and contribute to broader platform modernisation initiatives across APAC. The role As a DevOps Engineer at Verra Mobility, you will: Build, operate and improve AWS infrastructure across services including EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, IAM, S3 and Route 53.Manage Kubernetes workloads and the EKS platform lifecycle, including upgrades, deployments, troubleshooting and operational stability.Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Bamboo.Develop and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar technologies.Monitor platform performance and availability using New Relic, Prometheus and Grafana.Lead and support P1/P2 production incident response, root cause analysis and preventative actions.Contribute to platform reliability, automation, scalability, security and operational improvement initiatives.Work closely with engineering, product and support teams within an agile delivery environment.Participate in the DevOps on-call roster, providing out-of-hours support for critical production incidents. What you bring 3+ years' experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role.Strong hands-on AWS experience within production environments.Practical experience with Kubernetes, ideally Amazon EKS.Strong Infrastructure as Code capability using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar.Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.Scripting capability using Shell, Python or PowerShell.Linux administration experience.A sound understanding of networking, cloud security, IAM and infrastructure fundamentals.Experience supporting highly available, customer-facing or SaaS platforms.Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively during production incidents. Experience with tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jira, SonarQube, Veracode, New Relic, Prometheus and Grafana will be well regarded. Why Verra Mobility?
