As we continue to expand our cloud-native platform, we're looking for a DevOps Engineer with proven AWS experience to join our growing SaaS Operations Support team in South Melbourne. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable owning production cloud environments, driving infrastructure improvements and supporting major customer and platform initiatives across APAC. This is a permanent, full-time and hybrid role, working from home and the office. The role: We're seeking a DevOps Engineer operate, support and improve our SaaS platforms across AWS, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation, CI/CD and platform reliability. You'll also help modernise established systems as part of our broader technology uplift program. As a DevOps Engineer at Verra Mobility you will: Build, operate and improve AWS infrastructure across EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, IAM and supporting cloud services..Own and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bamboo).Manage Kubernetes workloads and the EKS platform lifecycle, including upgrades, deployment support, troubleshooting and operational stability.Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code for consistent cloud provisioning.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar..Monitor platform health using New Relic, Prometheus and Grafana, and lead P1/P2 incident response.Participate in the DevOps on-call roster, providing out-of-hours support for critical production incidents and contributing to root cause analysis and preventative actions.Work across engineering, support, and product teams in agile delivery. What you bring: 3+ years in DevOps or Cloud roles, ideally within SaaS or high-availability platforms.Strong AWS experience across EKS, EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, Lambda, Route 53 and related services..Proficiency with Shell, Python or PowerShell.IaC with CloudFormation, Terraform or similar.Git, Jira, SonarQube, Veracode, and containerisation/Kubernetes (EKS).Linux admin experience and sound grasp of network/security fundamentals.Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
