Senior Process Control Engineer

Type of position: Régulier Your future role on our team BBA is seeking a senior process control engineer to join our new Thunder Bay office or existing Sudbury office to support our continued growth in Central Canada. You’ll play a lead role in all phases of engineering projects, from front-end studies to field implementation, with a focus on detailed engineering. As a senior member of the Automation, Instrumentation and Control System engineering team in Central Canada, you’ll be responsible for ensuring technical quality, identifying new business opportunities and fostering team development. Lead process control engineering and quality for major mining and energy projects Manage instrumentation, automation and control scopes, including budgets, schedules and project delivery Lead engineering teams in the design, integration, programming and commissioning of PLC, HMI, DCS and communication systems Build strong client relationships and support business development, proposals and account growth Mentor junior and intermediate engineers while ensuring development of high-quality engineering work packages Contribute to BBA initiatives and foster a positive, collaborative culture in the Thunder Bay office Do your qualities and values match our corporate culture? Entrepreneurial spirit Desire to motivate and train the next generation Strong commitment to health and safety Rigorous and ethical Ability to share and pass on knowledge Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements University degree in electrical engineering with over 8 years of mining or energy experience (consulting preferred) Registered P.Eng. in Ontario, with more than 4 years as a licensed professional engineer in Canada Experience leading process control scopes, from conceptual and feasibility studies to detailed engineering Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, programming, integration, troubleshooting and commissioning Strong knowledge and demonstrated leadership in developing P&IDs, control narratives, industrial networks and control system specifications, while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, provide direction and review senior-level engineering work Strong communication, client relationship and organizational skills Valid driver’s licence Willingness to travel locally and internationally for project and site work Asset: business development experience An Overview Of BBA’s Total Rewards Annual base salary from $110,000 to $170,000 Annual premium program for regular employees Onsite mobility premium Time bank Cellphone fee reimbursements Group insurance plan from the first day of employment, including disability insurance and a telemedicine program Retirement savings plan Annual vacation and sick leave Premium for employee referrals BBA considers many factors when determining the annual base salary, including location, market, education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment, qualifications, certifications and other relevant skills.
