Field Application Engineer – Semiconductor Metrology

Position Overview / ポジション概要As a Field Application Engineer (FAE), you will play a critical role in bridging Nearfield's technology, customers, and internal development teams.You will be responsible for demonstrating the performance of Nearfield's AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy)-based systems to address complex metrology challenges faced by semiconductor manufacturers, developing customized measurement solutions for customers, and translating application requirements into product improvements. As this is a highly customer-facing role, you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Field Service, and R&D teams, contributing not only to current customer success but also to the realization of future technology roadmaps.Field Application Engineer（フィールドアプリケーションエンジニア）として、Nearfieldの技術、お客様、そして社内の開発チームをつなぐ重要な役割を担っていただきます。お客様である半導体メーカーが抱える複雑な計測課題に対し、NearfieldのAFM（原子間力顕微鏡）ベースのシステムの性能を実証し、お客様ごとの測定ソリューションを開発するとともに、アプリケーション要件を製品改善へとつなげていただきます。本ポジションは顧客対応が中心となるため、営業、マーケティング、フィールドサービス、研究開発（R&D）チームと密接に連携しながら、現在の顧客ニーズだけでなく将来の技術ロードマップの実現にも貢献していただきます。Why This Role Is Important / このポジションが重要な理由Japan is a strategically important market for Nearfield Instruments.
