Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished DevOps / Platform Engineer SME to join our Engineering organization and lead initiatives across Application Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, CI/CD Automation, and Engineering Enablement.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing and operating scalable cloud platforms, modernizing CI/CD practices, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and building tools that improve developer productivity and software delivery.
This role will serve as a technical leadership position, driving architectural decisions, establishing engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and partnering closely with Development, SRE, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Engineering & Tooling
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable internal developer platforms and engineering tools.Architect and implement cloud-native platforms and services that enable self-service development and deployment.Evaluate, integrate, and optimize third-party and open-source tools for CI/CD, source control, artifact management, testing, security, and observability.Develop automation solutions for cloud infrastructure, application environments, and developer workflows.Build reusable platform capabilities, templates, and tooling to improve engineering efficiency.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or related roles.Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and internal developer platforms.Demonstrated experience working in a Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership role.Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS and/or EKS.Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or Ansible.Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or TypeScript.Strong experience with .NET and/or JVM-based ecosystems.Extensive experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Honeycomb, Prometheus, or Grafana.Experience with developer and engineering tools including GitHub, Artifactory, and SonarQube.Understanding of DevSecOps, security automation, vulnerability management, and compliance practices.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to influence technical decisions and drive initiatives without direct authority.
