About Us
TyrAds is a leading tech-driven loyalty and rewards platform that partners with businesses to create meaningful and rewarding experiences for their customers.
With millions of users across our platforms, we specialize in innovative AdTech solutions powered by big data, machine learning, and deep learning technologies.
Our systems process over 10,000 events per second, delivering real-time insights at scale.
We build seamless user experiences across web, Android, and iOS, while leveraging ML/AI to power personalization and advertising effectiveness.
We are a team of 90+ employees worldwide and growing, guided by values of transparency, ownership, learning from mistakes, and respect for diverse cultures.
Our product development follows Agile methodologies with weekly releases and collaboration tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Slack.
TyrAds is seeking a Back End Developer to own our tracking and agency integration stack.
In this role you will build the services that record every click, install, and in-app event across our supply and demand partners, and the partner-facing APIs that agencies and advertisers integrate with.
This is a high-throughput, low-latency domain: the systems you build sit directly in the revenue path, and correctness of the data they produce determines what our partners get paid.
Job Requirements
4+ years of professional experience as a backend developer.Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript (Node.js); working knowledge of Golang is a plus.Proven experience designing and operating high-performance APIs under sustained high traffic.
You should be able to explain the latency and throughput numbers of systems you have shipped.Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and third-party API integration, including partner-facing APIs consumed by external engineering teams.Solid understanding of server-to-server (S2S) postbacks, callbacks, and asynchronous event delivery, including retries, idempotency, and deduplication.Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis), including query optimization and schema design for high write volume.Experience with message queues and event streaming (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, Pub/Sub).Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying and operating backend services in production.Familiarity with microservice and event-driven architecture.Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control using Git.Practical experience with observability (metrics, structured logging, tracing, alerting) and debugging production incidents in distributed systems.Ability to optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.Attention to data integrity: you treat a discrepancy in a reconciliation report as a bug, not a rounding error.
Nice To Have
AdTech or MarTech background: attribution, MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch, Singular), offerwalls, or affiliate/performance networks.Experience with invalid traffic or fraud signals in a tracking pipeline.Experience with data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and operate the tracking services that ingest and process clicks, installs, and post-install events at a scale of 10,000+ events per second.Build and maintain partner-facing APIs and S2S postback integrations for agencies, advertisers, and publishers, with clear contracts and documentation.Own the integration lifecycle for new agency partners: offer and campaign synchronization, event mapping, and validation against partner-side reporting.Guarantee correctness of tracking data end to end: deduplication, idempotent event handling, reconciliation between our numbers and partner numbers, and investigation of discrepancies.Keep the tracking path fast and available: optimize hot paths, manage capacity for traffic spikes, and design for graceful degradation rather than data loss.Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards that surface anomalies in event volume, conversion rates, and partner delivery before partners report them.Collaborate with the fraud, analytics, and product teams to expose the data and hooks they need for invalid traffic detection and reporting.Maintain data integrity and security standards, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipeline management to ensure smooth deployments.
