Technical Product Manager

Opportunity Snapshot Pixieset is looking for a technically fluent Product Manager to help shape and deliver the platform capabilities that support over 1 million photographers and creative professionals worldwide. Working across two Platform engineering teams, you’ll help turn complex technical problems into clear product decisions and practical solutions. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and company leadership to understand the problem we’re solving, navigate tradeoffs, establish clear direction, and keep important initiatives moving forward. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical intuition with curiosity about customers and the business. You may already be working in Product, or you may come from an Engineering or technical background and be looking to deepen your product craft. Your Impact Help shape product direction and own day-to-day product execution across two Platform engineering teamsQuickly develop context on complex technical problems and translate them into clear product decisions, priorities, and requirementsWork closely with Engineering to understand technical constraints and tradeoffs while keeping decisions anchored in customer and business needsBring clarity to ambiguous problems by synthesizing input, making recommendations, and driving decisions forwardBuild strong relationships across Engineering, Product, Design, and Leadership to align stakeholders, navigate dependencies, and keep initiatives movingBreak complex projects into clear milestones and incremental releases, balancing speed, scope, quality, and long-term maintainabilityCreate clear product requirements, concepts, and low-fidelity wireframes where needed to communicate intent and validate solutionsMaintain strong visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and upcoming milestonesSupport thoughtful rollouts, migrations, and releases for platform capabilities that span multiple Pixieset productsUse customer, business, and product signals to continuously improve the capabilities your teams own Role Requirements 2+ years of Product Management experience, or equivalent experience owning and delivering software products or technical initiativesA strong technical foundation developed through Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Product Management, or equivalent hands-on experienceAbility to understand software systems, technical constraints, and engineering tradeoffs without losing sight of the customer or business problemStrong product judgment and comfort making decisions with incomplete informationExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to distill complexity into clear recommendations and directionDemonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across Engineering, Product, Design, and senior stakeholdersHighly adaptable, curious, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities and context can evolveA bias toward action, simplicity, and incremental delivery What We Offer Hybrid work environment (2 in-office days per week)4 weeks of annual vacation & paid time off for office holiday closureRRSP matching$2,000 annual health & lifestyle spending account$1,000 annual education budget$1,000 annual charitable donation matchingComprehensive benefits: extended health, critical illness, long-term disability & life insuranceCompany-issued MacBook & home office budgetAnniversary rewards & complimentary Pixieset premium accountTeam-building activities & company-wide events The typical salary range for this position is CAD $95,000 - $131,250 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience, and market data.
