Job Description Zendesk is looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer to join our team in the Employee Services (ES) org in Krakow, Poland. Our ES teams take on a variety of complex challenges often spanning across organizations and products and touching many different technologies and a variety of stakeholders. What You'll Be Doing Join a dynamic, self-organizing team focused on delivering core frontend functionality for our Employee Service products, with opportunities to contribute to Ruby backend tasks as well.Contribute meaningfully through all phases of the software lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.Take ownership of features and bug fixes — working independently on well-defined tasks and collaborating on complex challenges.Participate in prototyping, code reviews, and rapid deployment cycles to keep our codebase robust.Proactively investigate issues, identify root causes, and help develop automated tests to prevent regressions.Be responsible to tackle incoming requests about the product from internal teams while being on-call. What You Bring To The Role Strong record of building frontend applications with JavaScript (React).Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable giving and receiving peer feedback.Willingness to take accountability for your work and support the team’s overall success.Flexibility to work across the stack, learning new technologies or debugging production issues as needed.A growth mindset with the desire to whiteboard, experiment, and find pragmatic solutions with your teammates.Openness and fluency in using modern GenAI models, including familiarity with the advantages and disadvantages across various use cases.Openness to employ modern software engineering tools and practices into product development. Where We Work Our modern Krakow office is located at Marii Konopnickiej, 29. We value face-to-face collaboration and the employees expected to be present at the office 2 times a week. Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager. The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł257,000.00-zł385,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.
