Role Description
The Frontend Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dresden.
This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining user-facing features for the HexBau platform, ensuring intuitive, accessible, and performant interfaces for construction and EHS professionals.
Day-to-day tasks include translating product requirements into clean, modular frontend code, integrating with backend APIs, optimizing pages for responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility, and collaborating with designers and product owners to refine workflows.
The Frontend Specialist will also participate in code reviews, contribute to UI/UX improvements, and help troubleshoot issues reported from live industrial sites.
Qualifications
Strong Software Development and Programming skills, with experience building modern frontend applications.Working knowledge of Databases and data-driven interfaces, including handling structured data from backend services.Familiarity with Linux environments for development, testing, and deployment workflows.Experience with Java-based ecosystems or frameworks, and integrating frontend solutions with Java backends.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience with at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).Understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility best practices.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document technical work effectively.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in industrial, construction, or EHS-related software is an advantage, as well as proficiency in English; German language skills are beneficial.
