Job Summary The Senior DevOps Engineer works with application developers to automate and accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of applications on Avid's cloud platform, Avid Content Core, a multi-tenant SaaS running on AWS EKS. As part of a team composed entirely of senior engineers, the Senior DevOps Engineer will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and collaborate as a peer with other senior team members, sharing ownership of architectural decisions, cross-training on each other's areas of depth, and raising the bar on engineering practices across the team. As such, the ideal candidate must have experience clearly explaining solutions to complex problems and demonstrate the ability to influence and align other experienced engineers, not just execute independently. This role is based Remotely in Poland and will be following 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CET schedule (Monday to Friday). Responsibilities And Duties Establish and employ GitOps-based Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions)Implement industry Continuous Delivery patterns — progressive delivery, blue-green/canary rollouts (Argo Rollouts) and collaboratively work with other members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutionsIdentify manual processes that can be automated, particularly around multi-tenant provisioning and infrastructure-as-codeProvide last-level technical support as neededBuild tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experiencePerform root cause analysis for production errors across a multi-tenant SaaS environmentDesign procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceGuide teams in designing, building, testing, and deploying changes to existing software, with an eye toward per-tenant isolation and blast-radius containmentConsider the organization's entire IT infrastructure, networking, security, identity, and observability when making changes and improvements Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science, closely related subject, or relevant experience5 or more years of experience designing large and complex cloud environmentsBackground in development, operations, and full-stack implementationsExperience programming in a high-level language such as Python, Go, Java, or similar to script installation, configuration, and provisioningStrong understanding of application development methodologiesProficient with AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions (or similar CI), Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Istio, ArgoCDExperience with GitOps tooling for multi-tenant infrastructure provisioning (Crossplane or similar) a strong plusWorking knowledge of PostgreSQL and schema migration practices in a microservices contextFamiliarity with policy-based authorization (OPA) and service mesh security patterns a plusProblem-solving attitudeCollaborative team spiritAbility to clearly articulate design and implementation choicesAbility to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and toolsComfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders Salary Ranges: MIN 185,848.80 to MAX 278,773.20 PLN Annual The salary range shown reflects the company's good faith full target range for this position at the time of posting.
