Description

This is a hybrid, long-term project and the Client will consider only based in Poland or in Ukraine candidates! The Client would like a candidate to be ready to work onsite 1-2 times per week (according to the need) and the candidate can travel either to Lublin or to Warsaw to work in the office! If the candidate based in Ukraine-he/she will need to be ready to travel 1-2 times per week to the office in Lviv! We are seeking a mid to senior-level Cloud/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS cloud infrastructure and deep expertise in DevOps automation practices. The role involves designing, automating, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud environments, with AWS as the primary focus. Experience with Azure and GCP is considered an advantage. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using best practices for scalability, security, and cost optimization.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and configuration management using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.Automate provisioning, deployment, and monitoring tasks using Python and cloud-native tools.Administer and maintain Linux and Windows-based systems, ensuring consistent performance, reliability, and patch compliance.Implement and manage AWS Control Tower, including account provisioning, guardrails, and multi-account governance.Implement security best practices, including IAM role management, encryption, secret management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance monitoring.Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline release and deployment processes.Configure and manage monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK, or Prometheus.Troubleshoot infrastructure, automation, and deployment issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.Requirements Extensive hands-on experience with AWS core services: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFormation, Control Tower, and IAM.Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration, including networking, patching, and automation.Deep understanding of Terraform and modular IaC principles.Skilled in Python scripting for automation and system management. Knowledge of Bash and PowerShell scripting is an advantage.Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD).Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).Solid grasp of cloud security concepts, including identity and access management, encryption, and network segmentation.Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive mindset. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator.Experience implementing and managing AWS Control Tower and Organizations.Exposure to Azure and GCP environments.Experience implementing monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.Familiarity with DevSecOps and compliance frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001, or NIST.
