Are you ready to join us? Your Role As (Senior) Analyst at Statista R, you will join our international team of data professionals, supporting the analytical backbone of Statista’s ranking business at Statista R. Your work will focus on analyzing quantitative data, defining analytical models together with the topic experts and managing data driven ranking projects and products primarily around the education space. Your work will include the collection, validation, and analysis of data that powers our Rankings, Ratings, and Benchmarking projects. Moreover, you will support the development of new, data-driven products. In being the data structure and analytics backbone of the team, you will work closely with different project teams as well as cross divisional teams to improve data handling processes and strategic alignment with departmental goals. Hereby, you always consider new AI capabilities to improve efficiency in the team. Your work will directly support Statista’s mission to make excellence measurable, comparable, and actionable - globally. Your Tasks Support in maintaining and further developing Statista’s rankings and data products, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability Support in building and the internal database structure in alignment with cross-departmental teams Collaborate on and manage rankings and benchmarking projects - from design over data handling to scoring and results analysis Develop and document data models and scoring frameworks in alignment with current academic research in cooperation with the analyst team Support the team in ensuring data transparency and quality as well as alignment with reporting standards through data structures Support in assessing and identifying data needs Actively contribute ideas for new data-driven education products and improvement of existing workflows Your Profile Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Economy, Social Science, Data Science or related field 3+ years of experience in data analytics or data structures, ideally in a research environment Good understanding of statistics and statistical modelling e.g. through analytical job experience or research projects Proven skills in Python (or R Studio), including experience in data cleaning, data analysis, and data visualization. SQL is a plus. Experience working with decision makers and delivering actionable, data-driven insights Understanding of AI trends and good knowledge of relevant tools Fluent in English, German or other languages a plus Strong analytical mindset and ability to transform complex data into actionable insights Good understanding of Microsoft Office Package, in particular very good Excel skills are an advantage Work independently and reliably as well as a resilient and flexible team player What we offer In addition to our great team, culture, and our shared goal of empowering people with data, there are many other things that make Statista a great place to work!
