Westpac's UNITE program is a multi-year, business-led technology transformation initiative aimed at simplifying the bank's operations, reducing costs, and improving customer and employee experiences.
It involves consolidating systems, streamlining processes, and modernizing technology infrastructure to achieve greater efficiency and agility.
About the role:
This Lead Engineer role sits within the Customer & UNITE Technology division within Westpac.
This role will act as a Siebel UCM/Oracle Customer Hub SME.
In addition, this role will also help drive the adoption of AI driven, agentic development across the Customer Domain —automating coding, testing, documentation, and change delivery while meeting the bank’s regulatory and security obligations.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support data integration solutions using Oracle Customer Hub (OCH / UCM)Solid understanding of APIs, relational databases, and enterprise-grade application development.Act as a subject matter expert for Oracle Customer Hub, defining standards, patterns, and best practices.
Collaborate with Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, SMEs, and solution providers to contribute to accurate and timely cost estimates for design and development phases.
Engineer for non functional excellence: reliability, security, performance, observability, and operability.Apply an AI first approach to automate coding, testing, data mappings, orchestration, and documentation
What do I need?
Seven+ years of experience in Information Technology, primarily in systems development, support and maintenanceExperience in Oracle Customer Hub (Siebel UCM) & Informatica Experience in systems integration Expert knowledge in at least one technical specialism, such as a domain or language; Java, Git, Bitbucket, Kafka Strong problem solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and teamwork skills
