Description

As an Embedded C++ Software Engineer, you will join a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for developing high-performance software for complex defense systems operating in demanding real-time environments. The role You will contribute to the design, development, and verification of embedded software components used in sophisticated defense and radar systems. Working closely with system architects, software engineers, and hardware teams, you will help deliver reliable and secure solutions that support critical missions. Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using modern C++.Implement software for real-time and mission-critical systems.Participate in software architecture and technical design discussions.Collaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineers throughout the development lifecycle.Develop and execute unit and integration tests.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software performance.Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and security standards within a defence environment.Support software integration activities on target hardware platforms. Your profile : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.Minimum 3 years of experience in software development.Strong proficiency in C++ (preferably C++11/14/17).Experience developing embedded software on Linux-based systems.Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design principles and software design patterns.Experience with multithreaded and concurrent programming.Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills in English. Security Clearance Due to the nature of our projects, candidates must be eligible to obtain a Dutch security clearance (AIVD screening). Applicants with extensive recent ties outside of the Netherlands may face limitations in obtaining the required clearance.
