About the Role
CowManager is looking for a .NET Backend Developer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team and build scalable cloud solutions in a modern .NET and Azure environment.
You will develop backend services that process, store, and expose large volumes of real-time IoT sensor data to customers worldwide.
The role includes building microservices and serverless components, contributing to software architecture, improving system performance, and maintaining a high-quality codebase.
The development work is approximately 60% new development and 40% bug fixing and technical debt, giving you the opportunity to work on both greenfield projects and continuous improvements to the existing platform.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable backend services using C# and .NET.
Build and enhance microservices and serverless components within Microsoft Azure.
Process and manage large volumes of real-time IoT sensor data.
Design reliable cloud-based solutions for distributed data processing.
Write clean, maintainable, well-structured code.
Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests and contribute to test automation.
Participate in architectural decisions involving scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Improve existing backend systems and contribute to technical-debt reduction.
Participate in two-week Scrum sprints, including refinement, planning, development, and reviews.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, R&D, data teams, and other developers.
Take ownership of production systems as part of the company's DevOps culture.
Continuously evaluate and implement technologies that improve cloud architecture and engineering practices.
Contribute to the development of new features while maintaining the stability of production applications.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience with C#.
Experience developing backend applications using .NET / ASP.NET.
Professional experience working with Microsoft Azure.
Understanding of software design principles, architecture, and engineering best practices.
Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration testing.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum development team.
Willingness to take ownership of software running in production.
