About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer (C#/.Net) to join our innovative product team at our Berlin location, with hybrid working options available. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining our cutting-edge financial technology solutions that facilitate flexible, customer-centric payment options. Our mission is to empower consumers with convenient payment choices while ensuring a steady cash flow for merchants. Your daily responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and deploying robust software applications, APIs, and workflows. You will participate in technical architecture discussions, contribute to agile ceremonies, analyze business requirements, and ensure comprehensive documentation. Your expertise will help us adopt industry best practices, continually improve our codebase, and foster a positive engineering culture. Qualifications What you bring to the role: Hands-on experience with C# and the .NET framework, with at least 5 years of professional experience.Proven track record in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications, preferably in Azure.Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.Deep understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.Extensive experience working with relational databases, especially SQL Server, and familiarity with ORMs like Entity Framework.Experience with cloud development and deployment, with bonus points for Azure expertise.Practical knowledge of messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ or Kafka within distributed architectures.Familiarity with FinTech and banking industry standards is advantageous.Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, with sound judgment in testing and reviewing AI-generated code.Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
