Software Developer | .NET/C# & Azure | Asset Based Finance
Join the software engineering department of a specialist asset-based finance company β wholly owned by one of the Netherlands' largest banks β that finances investments in movable assets (lease) and debtor claims (commercial finance).
The team builds everything in-house: the customer portal, debtor insurance processes, incoming customer data handling, and the payment flows that keep the business running
Having moved its software fully to Azure at the end of 2024, the organisation is now well underway with its transformation to a DevOps way of working - a great moment to join and help shape what comes next.
Work is 3 days remote, 2 days in the office in Utrecht.
About the role
You'll join a software engineering department of around 100 people, working in an agile way as part of a Scrum team matched to your skillset and experience.
Teams work primarily within a Microsoft environment using C#.
As a Software Developer, you will:
β Design, develop, configure and manage software applications and platforms so the business can function optimally
β Take end-to-end responsibility, as part of your team, for service delivery towards the business and its customers
β Contribute to key change initiatives that extend functionality, redesign technical architecture and further integrate applications within your team's scope
β Work within a Microsoft/.NET environment running on Azure, as the organisation continues its shift toward a DevOps way of working
Who are you?
β University-level (WO) work and thinking level
β In-depth .NET/C# expertise
β Familiarity with Azure Cloud solutions
β At least 8 years of experience as a developer, including in enterprise environments
β Knowledge/experience in the financial/banking sector
β Experience with software architecture, including event-driven solutions and clean architecture
β Strong CI/CD experience and a focus on writing maintainable software
β Passionate about software development and continuous learning, keeping up with the latest developments in the field
A significant advantage: experience redesigning or refactoring legacy systems, clear communication skills, comfort giving and receiving feedback, an appetite for a challenge, willingness to support less experienced developers, and Azure certification.
Given the team composition, strong written and spoken English is essential.
Candidates will need to be eligible to live and work in the Netherlands; this is a full-time role of 36 hours per week.
