About The Role We are seeking a talented Fullstack Webentwickler / PHP & WordPress (m/w/d) to join our team in Viersen on a full-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a developer who is passionate about creating innovative web solutions, combining both frontend and backend development skills. As part of our agile teams, you will work on a variety of projects, ranging from small websites to large-scale enterprise solutions, with a focus on PHP, WordPress, and modern frontend technologies such as React. Your responsibilities will include developing custom themes and plugins, optimizing website performance, and ensuring high-quality standards in both design and functionality. You will have the chance to work with cutting-edge tools like Symfony, Docker, and Git, and collaborate closely with clients and team members to deliver outstanding digital experiences. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a combination of practical experience and technical skills, including: First professional experience in web development, particularly with PHP and WordPress.A passion for writing clean, well-structured code and developing custom solutions rather than relying solely on pre-made templates.Strong technical and conceptual familiarity with WordPress environments.Proficiency in HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP.Experience with Docker and Git version control systems.Knowledge of Bootstrap, Symfony, and Twig templating engine.First exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js is advantageous.Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopware, Shopify, Magento, or Gambio is a plus.Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or within a team.Excellent communication skills in German and English. Responsibilities In this role, your core responsibilities will include: Developing fullstack web applications with an emphasis on PHP, WordPress, and modern frontend technologies.Utilizing Symfony and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL for project implementation and enhancement.Transforming screendesigns into functional WordPress websites, ensuring responsiveness and visual fidelity.Conducting technical and visual quality assurance to guarantee high standards across all websites.Optimizing website performance with targeted improvements, supporting the SEO team in achieving better search rankings.Managing client relationships by providing ongoing support and maintenance, including direct communication when required.Contributing to medium to large projects, often exceeding 500 hours, either independently or within collaborative teams.
