Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java or C#/.NET development and API Automation Testing to join a high-performing technology team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a blend of software engineering and automation testing capabilities, with a focus on building scalable applications, APIs, and automated testing frameworks to support modern digital platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java or C#/.NET technologies.Develop and execute automated API test suites for RESTful and microservices-based applications.Build and maintain test automation frameworks and CI/CD-integrated testing solutions.Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and DevOps teams to deliver quality software solutions.Perform API validation, service integration testing, and end-to-end automation.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.Core Development Skills Strong hands-on experience in either:Java (Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Microservices), ORC#/.NET Core/.NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, Web APIsAPI Automation Skills Proven experience in API automation testing.Hands-on expertise with tools/frameworks such as:Rest AssuredPostman/NewmanKarate FrameworkCucumberJUnit/TestNG/NUnitExperience creating reusable automation frameworks.Strong understanding of API authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, Basic Auth).Preferred Skills Performance testing experience using JMeter or Gatling.Test-driven development (TDD) and Behaviour-driven development (BDD).
