Tech Lead - Application Development

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Tech Lead - Application Development N 4C based in Canada. Lead the development of modern software applications in a fast-paced, innovation-driven technology environment. You will guide a team of developers through the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of software solutions. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with stakeholder collaboration, ensuring solutions meet business needs and quality standards. You will play a key role in establishing strong development practices, reviewing code, and resolving complex technical challenges. Accountabilities Lead and support a team of software developers throughout the design, development, testing, and implementation of software applications.Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather, clarify, and analyze requirements for new and existing projects.Translate business and technical requirements into effective application development strategies and solutions.Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support to development team members.Establish and promote adherence to coding standards, development methodologies, architecture principles, and software engineering best practices.Review source code produced by team members to ensure quality, maintainability, security, and alignment with established standards.Coordinate and participate in application testing to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues throughout the software development lifecycle.Monitor project progress, identify technical risks or blockers, and communicate status and key developments to relevant stakeholders.Participate in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, planning sessions, and project discussions.Stay informed about emerging technologies, development frameworks, industry trends, and innovative approaches to application development.Encourage continuous improvement across development practices, team performance, and application delivery. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a Master's degree in Software Engineering.Strong professional experience in application development and technical leadership.Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to software development teams.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle principles, coding standards, testing practices, and application architecture.Experience working with Agile methodologies and collaborative software development environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Ability to review and assess code while providing constructive technical feedback to developers.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset with a strong commitment to continuous learning and innovation.English proficiency at C2 level is required.Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), ISTQB Certified Tester, Microsoft Power Platform App Maker Associate, or Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer are considered valuable.Experience with emerging technologies, cloud platforms, or AI-driven solutions is an advantage.
