That is a genuine non-negotiable for this role.
The Opportunity:
This is a founding AI & automation engineering hire at a PE-backed financial advisory and accounting firm that has already proved the model works.
With board backing and budget committed, the team has moved beyond experimentation.
Live use cases are in production, and there is now a genuine pipeline of workflow problems the business wants solved through agentic AI.
You won’t be joining a mature function to optimise around the edges.
You’ll help shape what the AI capability becomes, how it gets built, and where it creates the most value across the business.
Reporting directly to the CIO, you’ll turn that early success into scalable AI systems.
The Role:
This is NOT a classic ML or Data Science role.
It’s a hands-on senior IC role for a Power Platform Engineer who can take a real business problem, apply agentic AI in practice, and ship workflow-led solutions that deliver value. This will suit someone who already has strong depth across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and the wider Microsoft ecosystem, and has more recently expanded into Copilot Studio, AI-enabled workflows, and practical agent development. If your background sits in Power Platform first, but you’ve genuinely moved into building and deploying AI agents in commercial environments, this is exactly the kind of role to look at.
What you’ll be doing:
Design and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflows across key business use casesBuild across Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, and the wider Power PlatformDevelop workflow-led AI solutions that solve real operational problems, not just point demosIntegrate AI solutions into core systems through APIs and Azure servicesTurn successful internal use cases into repeatable, governed solutionsWork closely with stakeholders to identify workflow and automation opportunitiesEnsure solutions meet privacy, governance, and audit requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Hands-on commercial experience building and deploying AI agents in Copilot StudioStrong Power Platform background across Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BIExperience applying AI to real business workflows, not just experimentation or proof-of-concept workGood Microsoft ecosystem capability across Azure services, APIs, integrations, and automation toolingAbility to work end-to-end, from workflow discovery and stakeholder discussions through to build, deployment, and iterationStrong communication skills and confidence working with non-technical stakeholdersComfortable operating as a senior IC with a high level of autonomyExperience in financial services, professional services, legal, or other detail-heavy environments would be highly relevant
