Role Description The Software Engineer - Front End will design, implement, and maintain user interfaces for HexBau, ensuring a clear, intuitive experience for site managers, project managers, and EHS leads. Day-to-day tasks include building and refining front-end components, integrating APIs, optimizing performance, and collaborating closely with back-end developers and product stakeholders to translate requirements into responsive, accessible UIs. The engineer will participate in code reviews, maintain high standards of quality and security, and contribute to UX improvements based on user feedback. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Dresden, requiring active collaboration with the local team and occasional engagement with clients or internal stakeholders to understand real-world workflows. Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.Experience in Software Development and Programming, with a focus on modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) and JavaScript/TypeScript.Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and clean code practices for maintainable, scalable front-end architectures.Familiarity with Back-End Web Development concepts and RESTful APIs to effectively integrate front-end functionality.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility; experience with UI component libraries is beneficial.Comfort working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Ability to work on-site in Dresden, communicate clearly within a multidisciplinary team, and adapt to evolving product requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; experience in industrial or construction-related software is a plus.
