About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing scalable microservices that align with our business objectives. Your expertise will help us enhance our platform's performance, reliability, and security, ensuring a top-tier experience for our users. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of JVM-based languages and microservice architectures, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software in an agile environment. Qualifications Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on JVM-based languages such as Java, Groovy, or Kotlin.Strong expertise in microservice patterns and architecture.Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven architecture.Proficiency in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, with 3-5 years of active participation.Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and software test automation.Familiarity with industry-standard tools and practices for software design, development, and documentation.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.Certifications such as Scrum Master are a plus.Additional experience with Groovy, Kotlin, Ratpack, Postgres, or Elastic Search is advantageous but not mandatory. Responsibilities Design, develop, and test scalable microservices that support our platform's core functionalities.Break down product features into manageable user stories, estimate effort, and prioritize tasks accordingly.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to industry standards.Create automated test scripts and perform comprehensive testing to ensure code quality and reliability.Participate actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.Collaborate closely with product managers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to deliver features that meet business needs.Maintain and improve existing systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements based on user feedback and performance metrics.Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.Document technical specifications, design decisions, and system configurations accurately and thoroughly.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
