Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Frontend Software Engineer role located in Dresden.
The Frontend Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain user interfaces for HexBau, ensuring usability, responsiveness, and performance across browsers and devices.
Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with product and backend teams, translating requirements and user feedback into intuitive frontend features, and integrating APIs and data visualizations.
The role also involves writing clean, testable code, reviewing peer code, optimizing existing components, and contributing to UI/UX improvements.
The engineer will participate in agile ceremonies, support deployment processes, and help continuously refine the frontend architecture.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.Proficiency in Frontend and Back-End Web Development, with experience integrating APIs and working with modern web frameworks.Strong Software Development skills, including version control, testing, debugging, and collaborative development workflows.Hands-on Programming experience and knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) applied to frontend architectures and component design.Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) and CSS frameworks or design systems.Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility standards, and performance optimization for web applications.Ability to work on-site in Dresden, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in English; German language skills are an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
